“Stewards of the Land” focuses on four farm families from North Dakota’s Devils Lake Basin as they reflect on their participation in a five-year Conservation Agriculture program administered by the North Dakota Natural Resources Trust. The farmers agreed to set aside land near wet areas by not farming it and planting buffer strips and grass around the wetland. They also engaged in No Till and soil conservation practices and other test programs. The documentary looks at the results of the five-year study as the farm families discuss the pros and cons of their participation in the program.
